Our office is equipped and our staff trained in providing complete vision analysis as well as analysis of children's vision problems and occupational vision problems. We manage many types of eye injuries including flash burns, foreign particle removal and eye abrasions. We provide eye surgical (co-management) services in Cataract surgery, Refractive surgery and cosmetic surgery. Our office provides a complete line of contact lenses from disposable soft lenses to complex gas permeable bifocal contact lenses. We have a knowledgable certified optician who can assemble difficult glasses prescriptions into comfortable and attractive eyewear. Our frame display includes fashion eyewear as well as safety eyewear and sports goggles.
From the standpoint of understanding your eyesight problems, we provide the necessary education to help you take better care of your own problem. Diabetic Retinopathy is one of the leading causes of blindness today. Dr. Smith has extensive training and knowledge in analysis and proper management of this destructive disease. We offer complete eye examinations for patients with diabetes.

Examinations |
Examinations are provided by a combination of the doctor and the paraoptometric assistants. We use the latest in computer and laser instruments to ensure the best result. The examination will vary from patient to patient depending on the health of the individual and their visual needs. Typically, it may include;

Optical Dispensary |
Our optical laboratory has the latest in equipment to not only fabricate your glasses, but to maintain and repair them, should they become broken or damaged. We are able to tint, coat, harden and edge spectacle lenses. We are able to provide you with any frame or any lens design that is found in the world. Our highly qualified optician and staff are able to adjust and fit your glasses to you for extended comfort and vision.

Contact Lenses |
We prescribe and evaluate all major brands of soft and rigid contact lenses. Additionally, we prescribe custom designed contact lenses for special needs as well as special eye problems. Specialized fitting may include: Monovision, bifocal contact lenses, astigmatism contacts, Ortho K and Keratoconus. We have experience in modifying and polishing contacts. Our staff are able to answer many of your questions and are available for ongoing contact lens instruction and training.

Eye Surgery |
Our office provides many of the surgical services such as Cataract surgery, Laser surgery, Refractive surgery and Strabismic surgery. We offer this in conjunction with the hospital and several eye surgeons. Additionally, we have working arrangements established with other specialized eye care doctors to manage such things are retinal detachments, retinal tears and hemorrhages. We provide these services under a co-management program with affiliated doctors. You, the patient, benefit from the cooperative and combined efforts of doctors working together on your behalf.

Insurance Assistance |

We work with most of the major insurance companies and HMOs. However, there are so many different companies and so many different plans within each company, it is difficult to know all of the allowed fees. Prior to an examination, we recommend that you review your benefits with a representative from your insurance company. We are ready to help you in any way we can. Call our office with your insurance information and we will be able to inform you of your eye health coverage.

Emergency Services |
